MAITLAND, FL, January 12, 2009 - Sonny's Real Pit Bar-B-Q announced its first winning blogger. The blogging contest challenging Bar-B-Q lovers to share the farthest distance they have traveled to dine at a Sonny's restaurant.

The Sonny's Blog is one of the features added to the corporate website during the most recent redesign. The winning blog post was from Gena Landa of Gainesville, Florida.

Her post was as follows: "I think this is the best story! My son, Sgt. Landa came home to Gainesville, from Iraq and when he got off the plane, we asked him where he wanted to eat, he said "I've been thinking about Sonny's BBQ all the way home!! It's just down the street from the airport, so let’s go!! Now...that's along way to come!"
