Sonny’s BBQ of Orlando had the pleasure of recognizing and surprising Mrs. Tara Karch, a 4th grade teacher from Thornebrooke Elementary School with a Random Act of BBQ for her efforts in the community. Our team at Sonny’s worked with the principal to help make the event a total surprise and they were even able to secretly get her husband and mother there to help take part in the celebration.
Mrs. Karch is one of the most selfless individuals that we have met. She is truly kind, caring, and giving at every moment of every day! She has led initiatives at her school such as collecting items from families and colleagues to send to soldiers oversees and she even asked for in lieu of anything for teacher appreciation that students and parents bring in school supplies for another school in the area who is dire need. Not only has she donated her time to help with the above causes, she has also donated her time to help tutor students for free after school. She even volunteered her time over the summer months to help with their schools AR reading program.
She truly embodies our values of putting others first and loving our community. We are so fortunate to have met her. Thank you, Mrs. Karch for being an amazing teacher and such an inspiration to those around you. Keep up the great work!
