Random Acts of BBQ is our way of recognizing those who make a difference – individuals who selflessly give their time, talents and effort to the community. And we’re pleased to say we found those special characteristics in Aaron, our latest RABBQ nominee.

Aaron is a Rolling Hills Elementary School student who was nominated for being a stand-up citizen, scholar, and spokesperson for those less fortunate. And he’s done some pretty exceptional things.

For starters, he was inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society in November 2016 for his daily focus on leadership, scholarship and service. He spearheaded a schoolwide canned food drive, gathering over 600 lbs. of non-perishable items, which he and his peers donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. He also led a fundraiser to collect $300 for the Lupus Foundation, and created care packages for families at Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Aaron’s teachers tell us he works exceptionally hard in class and is always supportive of his peers. And with all of this in mind, our Apopka crew was overjoyed to bring him and his friends a BBQ lunch in his honor.

Keep up the great work, Aaron!
