Teachers are a key factor in molding the future leaders of our communities. At Sonny’s, we know they deserve all the appreciation for giving their students the building blocks they need to achieve their goals. We recently had the opportunity to surprise Mrs. Forbes with a #RandomActofBBQ for all she does to go above and beyond for her students.
Mrs. Forbes is a Kindergarten teacher at the Orange County Public Schools Academic Center for Excellence. Her faculty nominated her because of the hard work she puts in every day for her students and her community. Mrs. Forbes is not only an amazing teacher, but she also serves on numerous boards and committees to connect students and families with the resources they need.
She treats each member of her team like family and goes out of her way to take new members under her wing to show them the ropes. her team knows her as an amazing source of support. They say she is always willing to provide resources, time, effort, and love to everyone she encounters.
We were thrilled to honor Mrs. Forbes and surprise her in front of the entire school faculty and friends with a catered BBQ meal. Our Chief Kindness Officer, Kennon Adkinson, presented her with a #RandomActsofBBQ Certificate and her team created a presentation of staff members highlighting all the reasons Mrs. Forbes is a great asset to the school and her students. It was such an incredible experience to witness the pure happiness and excitement that filled the room. We are lucky to know Mrs. Forbes and grateful for all the love and care she gives her students and team.
