At the very beginning of August, Sonny’s BBQ of Lawrenceville participated in a Random Acts of BBQ for the honorable group of men from the Veteran Memorial and Museum.
This tight-knit group of men have protected and defended our nation themselves. They’re veterans – and have chosen to continue serving our country by honoring our fallen soldiers, as well as their families, through volunteering at the Memorial and local VA Hospital. The men we had the pleasure of hosting for lunch, fought in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf War. We’re grateful for their years of service and sacrifice, as well as their generous work in their community. Their volunteerism and devotion to our country deserves recognition and it was a great honor to serve them.
If you know of someone that goes the extra mile in their community, submit a nomination here for a chance to be considered for a little surprise BBQ recognition. Our Random Acts of BBQ initiative is ongoing, and we welcome all to share their stories of putting others first as we continue to spread the spirit of BBQ in our communities.
