The Sonny’s BBQ of Port Orange recently recognized Mr. Glover with a surprise Random Act of BBQ. Mr. Glover has been a teacher in Volusia County for 32 years and during his tenure has impacted the lives of so many students.
This particular Random Act of BBQ celebration was setup as a “Back to School” event for all teachers so that Mr. Glover wouldn’t expect anything. So needless to say when he was called to the front he was pretty surprised.
Mr. Glover is one of the most thoughtful and selfless individuals we have met. He has helped to organize and collect food donations at his school for Thanksgiving & Christmas for families in need. He also organizes a toy drive for children for Christmas called “Toys for tOtters” (the mascot for his school is an otter). He is always thinking of others.
Not only does he organize drives and fundraisers for his students throughout the year, he’s also the first to sign up to volunteer at PTA events and other fundraisers to help benefit his students. He’s always willing to lend a hand or hop behind the grill to prepare food for fundraisers.
Mr. Glover was so deserving of a Random Act of BBQ. Thank you for all you do for your students, your school, and your local community!
