Random Acts of BBQ is our way of recognizing the hardworking folks who go above and beyond to give back to their community. And the wonderful volunteers behind the Ability Tree organization do just that.
The Ability Tree organization works across the country to assist families impacted by disability by offering them recreation, education, support and training (R.E.S.T.) when they need it most. Ability Tree relies heavily on volunteers to make this happen, so the Sonny’s BBQ in Spring Hill, FL threw them a little BBQ surprise to thank them for their selfless efforts.
These incredible volunteers dedicate their time to give caregivers some much-needed time off with monthly respite nights. They also lead after-school programs for children with special needs so their parents can take a break from their demanding schedules. Additionally, the Ability Tree volunteers host sensory-friendly, accessible and inclusive events for special needs family members, from movie screenings and bowling to music and art classes, and more.
We hope their commitment to helping others inspires you to lend a helping hand in your community.
