Sonny’s Winter Haven is now open, and it’s so sweet to be back. Come get a taste of all the fun we had as we fired up the smoker on our first day.
A Smokin’ Start
Back in June, we grabbed our shovels and broke ground at our new home, located at 1501 3rd St SW. Since we still had a way to go, we wanted to give everyone a taste of what they could expect. So, we dropped by a nearby Sonny’s and picked up some of our delicious Catering offerings like BBQ Meatballs and Smoked Buffalo Chicken Dip.
If you’re a longtime Sonny’s Winter Haven fan, we had a location in the city before, and we’re so glad we could return to this wonderful community.
A Sweet Grand Opening Day
Before the big day got here, we had been cooking up good times already. That prior weekend, we hosted friends, family and local first responders. We do this so our teams are ready to serve you and the rest of our guests in the best ways they can.
Then, the day was here, on Monday, December 9th, Sonny’s Winter Haven opened its doors. At 10 a.m., we joined the local Chamber of Commerce, and our Head Pitmaster A.J. cut the ribbon to welcome everyone in.
A Smaller Sonny’s
If you’re familiar with our restaurants, you may notice something different when walking inside Sonny’s Winter Haven. It’s a bit smaller on the inside than other locations of ours.
In fact, if you stand by the bar, you can do a 360 and see almost the entirety of the restaurant. You may be wondering, why the smaller model?
Well, in this restaurant, we have team members dedicated to “Expo” duties, meaning they’ll be solely focused on getting you your drinks quickly and your BBQ as soon as it comes out of the smoker. That means you can get in and out, and we can serve even more guests in the long run.
Cheers to a Sizzlin’ Future
If you’re hungry and in the mood for good Southern BBQ, we’d love for you to join us at Sonny’s Winter Haven. We’re currently open Sunday to Thursday 10:45 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Friday to Saturday 10:45 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
A quick heads up, we’ll be in our soft opening phase for the first few weeks, meaning we won’t be taking online/phone orders. This will allow our teams to focus on in-restaurant guests and serving you to the best of their ability. Thanks for your understanding, and we hope you’ll come visit us soon.
